3. WHO CAN USE URICLAK®?
This compression device is designed for the following individuals/situations:
1. Men with mild, moderate, or severe incontinence following prostate surgery.
2. Men with age-related incontinence (dribbling after urination).
3. Men whose incontinence is caused by an autoimmune or neurological condition, provided they have optimal manual dexterity (good hand function).
4. Men with disabilities, specifically for use during breaks from wearing diapers or absorbent pads.
5. Men who need to have a full bladder during radiation therapy. However, is not suitable for use during a Magnetic Resonance.
6. Men who have transient incontinence caused by diagnostic tests or urethral catheters inserted through the urethra.
4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Press Uriclak ® with your fingers inwards to open. Then, the gadget is placed around the penis (near the base or root).
- The penis should be positioned centrally between the two upper semicircles.
- You do not need to adjust the device with straps or fastenings; it simply adapts to the shape of the penis.
- To urinate, you also have to press laterally with your fingers. The urethral clamp opens allowing you to urinate without splashing.
5. SIDE EFFECTS
On rare occasions you may see redness or tenderness of the skin. This will disappear quickly.
6. LIMITATIONS OF USE
It is for adults only. The use of this incontinence clamp in patients with severe mental disability is not recommended, except with the direct supervision of another person. Use is not recommended if an internal obstruction exists. Read the instructions carefully before starting to use it.

Is it one size fits all? Is the device pressure adjustable?
- Yes, it's one size all. The pressure exerted by the gadget can be adjusted with cylindrical regulators that are included in the purchase, but they are necessary only for those with a very thick penis. Most of the time, Uriclak doesn't need adjusting because it adapts instantly. Most patients do not require these regulators.
- Uriclak will exert the maximum pressure to retain urine when used without regulators / pins.
Can I use it at night?
Yes, no problem.
It is flexible enough to allow for an erection.
For night use you need less pressure, so you must use thicker cylinders.
How many hours a day can I use the incontinence clamp?
You can use this clamp whenever you feel comfortable. To avoid redness is recommended that you change its position (forwards or backwards) each time you urinate (every 2 to 3 hours).
How long does it last and how to clean it?
Unlike other penile clamp, Uriclak is long-lasting.
Its life will depend on the frequency of use and whether the instructions are respected (from 3 to 6 months with daily use).
To make it last longer, you need:
- Avoid contact with water, and clean it with a cotton swab moistened in alcohol.
- IMPORTANT: For durability, it is recommended not to force its structure (not to open it more than necessary to fit it.)
What are the other recommendations for us?
- If there is hair surrounding where it is fitted, it is recommended to remove this to avoid jerking.
- Cleaning: use only a moistened alcohol swab.
Can I use it if I have a small penis?
Yes. You can use it without regulators. You will not need them because you will require the device to exert maximum pressure.
If the pressure is still insufficient, we recommend decreasing its aperture with breathable hypoallergenic tape, as shown in the following picture.
We also recommend reducing the aperture by pressing on the sides, as shown by the arrows in the picture.
Can this device be detected in airports scanners?
Several authorized tests have been conducted in official buildings. The results show that whether Uriclak can be detected depend on the scanner settings. For normal settings, this incontinence ring will not be detected. However, if the sensivity is very high, it will be detected. We therefore recommend that the patient carry the instruction leaflet, especially at airports.

Does it cause any allergies?
No. It generally does not cause any allergies. It is coated with a soft medical thermoplastic material approved by USP Class VI with a silicone-like feel. It does not contain latex.
How are the cylindrical adjusters for nighttime use or for a very thick penis positioned?
Here are the steps to follow:
1. Selection and preparation of cylindrical adjusters:
Uriclak has two small holes on the sides where the adjusters are inserted. Choose the appropriate thickness adjuster according to your needs. Cut the plastic threads connecting the cylinders with scissors.
2. How to use:
Gently insert a cylinder of the same thickness on each side into the side holes of the Uriclak. Slowly and gradually turn the cylinders, without forcing, to avoid damaging the rubber cap. To facilitate insertion, it is advisable to lubricate the adjusters with cream.
3. Remember:
The thicker the cylinder, the less pressure the device will exert. The use of cylindrical adjusters is recommended only in exceptional cases. Use the adjusters to open the urinary clamp only when absolutely necessary. Otherwise, the device will deteriorate prematurely, and urine will leak.
Is it possible to swim in the sea or pool with Uriclak?
As with any other urethral clamp, submerging Uriclak in water will shorten its lifespan. You can choose to use Uriclak in the pool or sea, accepting a shorter lifespan, or avoid using it in water to maintain its normal durability. In general, saltwater and chlorine can damage soft medical materials and even metal parts, despite being stainless. All brands of medical-grade clamps have either soft or metal components and will deteriorate with water exposure.
